Steam files for game arent downloaded

One of the things I suspect is my monitor? I have noticed that when trying to run Chainsaw Warrior there is nothing in the drop down menu marked "display".

I have Steam installed on my works laptop and that has an entry called "display 1" in the same menu and that works fine! What monitor are you using? I've got an AOC from so i'm wondering if that's the issue? Any thoughts? Ugh, Steam Support is so frustrating! Do you know what Windows update you have? I believe the issue is currently caused by an incompatibility issue between Window 10 update and Steam but Support didn't give me any feedback on that. So cowvet, I have no idea how this worked, but I really hope it helps you as it did me. Go to Steam settings and activate "Big Picture Mode" then try launching the games from within there.
